February 15, 2000 - November 11, 2019

Zaria "Ziggy" Richards, 19, Bryan, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 11, 2019. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, November 22, at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan. Services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.

Ziggy was devoted to God and she was a member of New Jerusalem MBC of Bryan. She always put others before herself. At an early age she developed a passion for basketball. She was recruited to play for a travel team and later became head coach of the Lady Storm 17U Basketball Club, where she coached her baby sister and former Lady Ranger teammates.

She had a passion for caring for others and was a beloved preschool teacher. She was attending Blinn College to become a physical therapist. Ziggy will be deeply missed by family, friends and many whose lives she touched.

She was received in Heaven by grandmothers, an aunt and uncle.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving parents, Willie and Yolanda Richards; her brother, Willie "Bubba" Richards, Jr.; a sister, Cameron "Coco" Richards; grandparents, Willie Fields (Thera), Michelle Robins, Harvey "Paw" Wise, Helen Cahill Wise; numerous great-aunts, uncles, and a host of other family, special friends and coaches.
