The Texas A&M men’s cross country team finished second and the women fourth at the second annual Arturo Barrios Invitational on Saturday at the Dale Watts (’71) Cross Country Course.

Sophomore Eric Casarez clocked 23 minutes, 49.6 seconds to finish sixth in the men’s 8,000 meters and pace the Aggies, who totaled 165 points to finish behind 17th-ranked Middle Tennessee State’s 41 points. College Station graduates Jon Bishop (24:25.7) and Zephyr Seagraves (24:26.3) placed 25th and 27th, respectively, and Gavin Hoffpauir (24:58.5) and Johnathon Blaine (25:02.1, 60th) rounded out the Aggie lineup.

College Station alumna Kelsie Warren led the Aggie women, finishing the 6,000-meter course in 20:17.3 to place third, and fellow senior Ashley Driscoll was fifth in 20:31.8. Abbey Santoro (21:31.7) was 35th, Julia Black (21:35.7) 41st and Megan Hopper (21:40.6) 46th. A&M scored 121 points to finish behind Cal Baptist (75), MTSU (81) and Florida (117).
