Quarterback Trace Brightwell had seven total touchdowns, and St. Joseph routed Temple Holy Trinity 55-6 on Friday in a game that was ended at halftime.

Brightwell rushed for 115 yards on three carries with two touchdowns and completed 6 of 7 passes for 136 yards and five TDs. James Najvar was the Eagles’ leading receiver with two catches for 59 yards, both for touchdowns, and Matthew Nelson, Twister Barrington and Reid Millhollon each added receiving scores.

Defensively, Nelson had two fumble recoveries. Najvar had an interception and a forced fumble, and Rylee Hutka had an interception.
