YOAKUM —Seth Kasowski threw for 311 yards and five touchdowns, and JT Anthony ran for 114 yards and another score to lead Bremond past Agua Dulce 56-24 in the Class 2A Division II area playoffs Friday at Bulldog Stadium.

The Tigers (11-1) built a 21-3 lead on Casey Garrett’s 3-yard TD run, Anthony’s 10-yard TD run and Kasowski’s 43-yard TD pass to Garrett.

The teams traded scores with Agua Dulce (10-2) cutting Bremond’s lead to 28-17 on Erin Medina’s 2-yard TD pass to Angel Vera. But the trading ended there as the Tigers rattled off four unanswered touchdowns beginning with Kasowski’s 18-yard TD pass to Dalton Wilganowski. Kasowski’s 22-yard TD pass to Garrett later gave Bremond a 49-17 halftime lead, and the Tigers used Garrett’s 7-yard TD run in the third quarter to help ice the victory.

Wilganowski caught seven passes for 137 yards and two TDs, and Garrett caught five passes for 154 yards and three TDs.

Bremond will play either Flatonia or La Pryor in the regional round next week.
