KATY — Arianna Rodriguez finished second in the 119-pound weight class to help lead the College Station girls wrestling team to a 14th-place finish out of 32 teams at Katy Morton Ranch’s Maverick Stampede on Friday and Saturday.

College Station’s Anastasia Guerra, Emily Huber, and Allison Abbey each had two wins in the tournament.

On the boys side, College Station senior Logan Shelton and sophomore JC Wenger each had three wins to help the Cougars placed 27th out of 36 teams.

For College Station’s JV boys team, Alex Chase went 3-0 and won his pool; Kobe Pomykal won two matches; and Austin Becton, Wyatt Shuggart and Grayson Garcia each won one.
