Texas A&M men's Tennis wins SEC title

Texas A&M junior Arthur Rinderknech prepares to hit a backhand during a match against Georgia freshman Nathan Ponwith, Saturday, April 15, 2017, during a match against the University of Georgia at the Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.

The sixth-ranked Texas A&M men’s tennis team will play No. 11 Florida at 2 p.m. Friday to open play at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at the Seattle Tennis Club in Seattle.

The Aggies (5-1) and Gators (4-2) each advanced to the 16-team national event by winning their ITA Kick-Off Weekend regionals without losing a point last month. A&M swept LSU and Cal Poly 4-0 at the Mitchell Tennis Center, while Florida swept South Alabama and South Florida 4-0 in Gainesville, Florida.
