BRENHAM — Quarterbacks Garrison Weiss and Alldyn Schroeder combined for 314 yards passing with each throwing a touchdown pass in the Cubs’ 41-13 victory over the Marble Falls Mustangs in District 13-5A Division II play Friday.

Weiss completed 9 of 10 passes for 112 yards with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Kaden Watts. Fellow senior Schroeder completed 11 of 14 for 202 yards with a 61-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Mueller as Brenham (5-1, 3-0) won its fifth straight.

Seven different Brenham players had receptions with senior Mueller having five for 141 yards. Weiss also had five catches for 32 yards and rushed for 21 yards and a TD on four carries. Javon Dixon had 62 yards and a TD on seven carries, and fellow sophomore Daylonn McCowan added 54 yards and a TD on 14 carries.

Marble Falls (0-6, 0-3) scored early in the second quarter to cut Brenham’s lead to 14-7, but Dixon and Weiss each had a TD run for a 28-7 halftime lead.
