ROCKDALE — Jace Robinson threw for 294 yards and seven touchdowns, and Cam’ron Valdez ran for 111 yards and two TDs to pace Rockdale’s 66-7 victory over Austin Hyde Park in nondistrict play.

Rockdale (4-0) used a 32-point first quarter to seize control of the game. Valdez scored on a 1-yard run, then Robinson threw 20- and 21-yard TD passes to Kesean Raven for a 19-0 lead. Robinson added a 31-yard TD pass to Ross Loth, and Valdez finished off the rally with a 2-yard TD run.

Hyde Park cut into Rockdale’s lead early in the second quarter when Ryan Williamson threw a 34-yard TD pass to Jax Guyett, but the Tigers answered with three more Robinson TD passes to lead 52-7.

Rockdale finished with 526 yards of offense and 23 first downs, while holding Hyde Park to 102 and eight. The Tigers’ Levi Baggerly had an interception, and Anthony Dansby had a 95-yard kickoff return.

Rockdale and Hyde Park both have byes next week.
