The fourth-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team suffered a narrow 11-9 defeat to top-ranked Auburn on Saturday at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.

Caroline Dance and Kaitlyn Lovingfoss notched victories in equitation over fences, while Katie Conklin got a win in horsemanship and Dance and Nicole Leonard earned points in equitation on the flat.

Marissa Harrell was named most outstanding player in reining with Emmy-Lu Marsh, Lisa Bricker and Courtney Yohey also grabbing wins in the event.

It was A&M’s last meet of the fall. The Aggies will host Georgia on Feb. 1.
