HOUSTON — The No. 16 Texas A&M women’s swimming and diving team defeated Rice 158-102 in its first road meet of the season Saturday.

Emma Carlton won three gold medals as A&M claimed first in 12 of 14 events. Carlton won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.57 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 51.21, and helped A&M win the 400 medley relay. Raena Eldridge, Anna Belousova, Carlton and Golf Sapianchai won in 3:46.62.

Karling Hemstreet won the 200 freestyle (1:50.28) and the 500 freestyle (4:59.99).

The diving team competed in a double dual meet against Harvard and Duke in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with Charlye Campbell winning the 1-meter dive with a score of 283.30.
