Texas A&M first infielder Baylee Klingler is transferring, making the announcement Friday via twitter.
“I wanted to thank God, loved ones and fans for all the support I have gotten throughout my freshman year at Texas A&M,” Klingler tweeted. “With A LOT of thought and prayer I have decided to continue my career at a different program. Texas A&M will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart and I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey, because I’ve learned so much.”
Klingler batted .289, starting every game for the 28-27 Aggies who reached the Austin Regional, losing back-to-back games. Klingler had five home runs and 29 runs batted in.
A&M had four players transfer after last season - pitcher/designated player Samantha Show (Oklahoma State), outfielders Keeli Milligan (Louisiana-Lafayette) and Sarah Hudek (Louisiana-Lafayette) and pitcher Maddie MacGrandle (Oregon).
